Greeting dear Users of the Data Realms Forum,
First of all iam a hobby artist and 1 Week before i bought the Planetoid Contributor Edition this Engine and Game is so awesome i admire the developers for it and want to Support them. So ive done some Photoshop work like logos or Simple illustrations and want to create Game content and need some Inspiration for this Art Style does the Style have a Specific name like "Pixel Arts, Illustration" ?
ATM i draw sketches for some alien stuff.

I would check out http://androidarts.com/cortexcommand/ as he was the one that did the art for Cortex Command (and I think Planetoid Pioneers?). For googling about how to do the pixel art style, there's a tons of ways to do it. One easy way I found was to draw large simplistic representations of what you want to do, resize it to sprite size and do small fixups, check this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16881 for that.
