I'm working in Predator mod, with some progress for the momment:

I would like to make it as it should be done and I need a colossal scripter.
Inside the yautjas there's a very important honor code and you can only
promote between them perfoming the hunt, that's why this mod requires
an "evolving system" and depending how much you hunt or kill, grow or not.

When you achieve correct duties, you'll get the chance to promote pressing one key,
it must be ALWAYS optional, you'll promote only when you want and where you want.

Unblooded - This means that the Yautja have no distinguishable kills amongst their race, such as killing a Xenomorph.

Blooded -These are warriors who have gained the clan symbol upon their forehead after their first successful Xenomorph hunt.
Elite Predator - Elite Predators are often leaders in their clan, and are only elevated to the caste of Elite Predator once they have acquired a Queen Xenomorph skull.

Adjudicators - The adjudicators are the administrators and law enforcers of the Yautja.

Thank you for offering Asklar, didn't Team A taught you the plan B its the cooler and most exploding?
there's a bunch of work to be done for proper functioning;

Evolving system: as you can see, you have to be able to promote and grow stronger.
(always working, like RPG system of weegee)

Active hunt systems: such as the shoulder cannon, helmet scanner and the wrist blades.
(triggered by keyboard)

Secondary systems: such as termination wrist bomb and predator patrol sending.
(triggered by keyboard)


I can perform all the codes and the sprites, which will be approximately...

5 classes of predator in 4 forms = 20 predator actors
(celtic, chopper, scar, wolf and possibly bad blooded ones)


Some xenomorphs actors for hunting plus some trophies = 5 alien actors and some bunker bits.

If anyone else feel able/willing/forced to help, now its the moment.

I'm currently doing 25 actors just for having one buyable? :lol: do I never learn?

Hmmm.... the xenomorph part may be tricky. Can we reliably get it to 'stick' to walls and run fast, at least? Facehugging, headbiting etc. would be secondary to that part.
And would it be classified as an ACrab or an AHuman? Can't hold weapons after all, unless it is some kind of freaky Weyland-Yutani experiment.

You're right trooper, it might be tricky, but most of my mods are =P

They would be fast-runner AHuman, about ceiling and wall-running, I would have to ask to scripters guild :???:
The facehuggers are extremely disgusting and but not necessary for predator mod, it would be easy to create
except the infecting-part, as I already said, I only feel responsible of .inis and sprites :???:

Anyway, I already knew you're specially interested in stalker, creepy and dangerous creatures...
but this is Yautja.rte :P

Hehehe, you're right, I love creepy crawlies. But the Predator is also one of my fav creatures as well.
That said, I believe you did a Yautja actor back in B24 which has an 'independent' shoulder cannon. Maybe we can re-use the coding so instead of it shooting of its own will, we can control when to fire. And additionally, now we can properly charge it like in the games.
By the way, what's your idea of the 'helmet scan'?

About the cannon, I hope akblabla can help me to make it work properly, X for targeting and X again for shooting.
About the helmet scan, I don't know how far lua can arrive, but switching between filters; normal vision, termic vision and sonic vision

Something about People Hanging in the Air, Reminds me of Fallout When you Find Raider Hideouts So many Bodys on Hooks just Hanging There - Maby its a Refence to Predator

Its typical, between yautjas to find their hunts exposed and treated like art pieces worthy of admiration.

I wanted some kind of trophy system for this mod but that's way to much,
after all there's priorities and the first one is having the mod functional, besides,
spriting dead and skinned unitec troopers may hurt somebody morals :???:

If anyone is interested in progress, I already have the scar class in the 4 different tiers,
unbloodeed, blooded, elite and leader, PLUS 4 weapons and a couple of lua triggered functions.
When I'll have ready the xenomorph prey, I'll send it right away to akblabla to leave him do his magics...

Hmm, about filters, I think it'd be a hard one. A workaround could be making actors emit a glow or something, but so far we can't make entire screens be colored differently. What say you, lua-wizards who read this thread? Can or can not it be done?

Also, it would be cool if the chakram/disk is in. Throw it, and we can adjust its trajectory by moving our aim. I think it can be done.
As for the pred spear, your B24 mod's got it covered.

By the way, I've finished AVP2 a few weeks ago, and the predator has these weapons:
-wristblades for melee
-shoulder cannon
-disk
-spear
-mine
while in AVP1, they also got:
-pred pistol (short range)
-speargun
-grappling cable
while in Predator: Concrete Jungle:
-glaive (melee)
-combistick (spear, melee)
-disk
-speargun
-shoulder cannon
-4 types of mines (plasma, pulse, sonic, incendiary)
-wristblade
-maul (melee)
There's also AVP: Extinction, which is a PS2 strategy game, they have these as unit choices:
-brawler (wristblade)
-hunter (shoulder cannon)
-disk master (disk)
-spear master (melee spear)
-stalker (speargun)
-military hydra (hydrashock cannon, which is like a cluster plasma missile launcher)
-military blazer (blazer cannon, which shoots a line of fiery laser)
-vanguard (heavy powerful melee with a scythe-like weapon, has molecular shield)
-predgun (basically a big, turret version of the shoulder cannon which can move. Can't shoot while moving.)

so yeah, we could include some weapons from all those games.

Hmm, maybe for the trophy system, maybe we could keep an inner counter in each Predator actor whenever they decapitate a Head attachable with their wristblade. Or just make their wristblade auto-decapitate people like that Axe Cop thingy Duh (or was it Geti) made, and 'store' the head in the inventory or something when it does decapitate someone. Trophy thingy is possible if we're just talking about headhunting. As for skinned bodies, eh, it'd probably end up as props in a mission or something.
