Is there a way to do this? No matter where I stick CC it always connects up to Steam and redownloads all the mods I have. Which is kinda annoying 'cause it overwrites all the changes I make to my own mods so I can't update them. I tried deleting SteamAPI.dll on the off chance that worked but alas, the game can't run without it. |

You can shutdown steam client. |

You can also run the game from the main .exe and not the Steam app shortcut. |

4zK wrote: You can also run the game from the main .exe and not the Steam app shortcut. That doesn't sidestep the fact that mod downloading is part of the launch sequence for the steam version. Unless launching it via the executable itself somehow bypasses this... Better off just not subscribing to your own mods in the first place. ![]() |

Yeah don't subscribe to your own mods, that just makes no sense. |

Huh. That's weird. I've never had any issues with it redownloading my own mods. ![]() |

This is, obviously, not good for modding. But I have no idea which end it's on, unfortunately - whether it's some weird workshop thing, or the client, or what. ![]() Quote: [06:58:52] weegee: Speaking of workshop mod overwhriting. Een if you're not subscribed on your own mod CC will try to redownload your own mod if your local copy is too old. [07:00:07] weegee: I think sometimes it fails to determine which one is older due to Steam might return the wrong file time or steam server and system time mismatch badly. |
